Mountain View is right next to Palo Alto, so it is one of the closest cities to our East Palo Alto base. We move houses and townhomes all over the city, with packing, storage and heavy pieces planned before the truck arrives.

If your home is in a townhome or condo complex, ask the HOA or property manager about parking for the truck and any move-time rules, and tell us when you book. If they want a certificate of insurance, we send it before move day. For a house, count the garage like a room so we send the right size crew.

Mountain View's code lets the city post temporary no-parking signs when a street is needed for something other than normal traffic, and Public Works can allow them as part of an encroachment permit.

Commercial vehicles of 10,000 pounds or more cannot park on streets next to homes, except while picking up or delivering goods at the home.
On designated narrow streets (40 feet wide or less), an oversized vehicle can stay up to 60 minutes while loading or unloading.
A truck stopped to load or unload has to park with its right wheels within 18 inches of the curb.
